Promethazine 25mg Tablets (100’s)

Description

Composition: Each tablet contains 25 mg of Promethazine hydrochloride.

Indications:

Promethazine is a medicine belonging to the Phenothiazine group. It works by blocking histamine, a natural substance produced during an allergic reaction, and helps to relieve symptoms such as:

• Allergies (e.g., hay fever, rashes, and hives)
• It also has a calming effect on the brain, helping to relax and reduce symptoms of anxiety or agitation.

How To Use:

Always follow your doctor’s instructions or the directions provided by your pharmacist. The recommended dosage is as follows:

• For Allergies:
  • • Children (2-5 years): Use Phenergan Elixir instead of tablets.
    • Children (5-10 years): 1 tablet (25 mg) at night. Do not exceed 25 mg per day.
    • Children over 10 years and adults (including the elderly): Start with 1 tablet (25 mg) at night. The dose may be increased to 1 tablet (25 mg) twice a day if necessary.

  • • Do not use if you have had an allergic reaction to Promethazine or similar medicines. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include rash, difficulty swallowing or breathing, swelling of the lips, face, throat, or tongue.
    • Liver problems, particularly jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
    • Muscle stiffness or shaking, and uncontrolled muscle movements of the face or head.
    • Unusual movements of the tongue, facial spasms, rolling eyes, or trembling.
